OUR CHARITY

BUILDING A SAFER,
STRONGER TONBRIDGE
Tonbridge ABC is one of the few places left in the area where kids can go seven days a week to feel safe, seen and supported. With rising social pressures and cuts to youth services, our gym has become a second home to many. Young people come here not just to train - but to give back: helping coach younger kids, repainting the space, fixing the mini bus etc.
Others just come to hang out - play xBox, badminton or even hide and seek. That's what makes the space different. It's real, it's local and it works.
We know it works because we see it every day: kids turning away from crime, drugs and isolation and choosing something better. For many, this is the only space they feel like they belong
Support for people with Special Education Needs (SEN)
Our team has strong experience supporting young people with a wide range of additional needs. We offer flexible, inclusive support within our regular sessions - adapting activities, and created a space where every young person feels safe.
Volunteer Opportunities and Leadership Development
Young people are encouraged to give back by helping run sessions, clean and maintain the gym and support new members. This teachers responsibility, pride and community values - and leads to long-term personal growth
A Safe, Supervised Space 7 days a week
Many of our members just need somewhere safe to be. We offer a supervised space where they can relax, play games, build friendships and be around positive role models - keeping them away from dangerous environments or street culture
Subsidised Sessions for All Ages (6+)
We keep our session fees extremely low - so that cost is never a barrier. This ensures that anyone in our community, regardless of background can access high-quality sport and mentoring
Anti-Social Behaviour Intervention Programmes
We work closely with schools, youth services and families to engage young people at risk of criminality, drug use or school exclusion. These sessions focus on positive reinforcement, discipline, emotional regulation and creating routine in a place of chaos
NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) Support
For young adults disengaged from education or work, we provide structure, routine and positive adult role models. We also offer informal mentoring and help build soft skills like teamwork, confidence and goal setting
Crisis Response and Pastoral Support
We're often a consistent, trusted presence during difficult times. Whether it's providing a quiet space to decompress, checking in with a young person who's struggling or simply being a positive adult they can rely on.
Community Integration and Inclusion:
We actively welcome people from all backgrounds - regardless of income, culture, religion or ability - and create a space where everyone feels like they belong. Whether it's newcomers to the area looking to make friends, individuals facing social isolation or families struggling to find affordable activities for their children.
